Anti-slavery sources

The campaign to abolish slavery took many forms. Abolitionists, both individuals and groups, campaigned for the abolition of the transatlantic slave trade and, after 1807, for the complete abolition of slavery in the British colonies. The campaign made use of a variety of different media and the sources below include newspaper articles, pamphlets and political cartoons.
