Chevening Fellowships offer exciting opportunities for international professionals to spend time in the UK developing their careers, knowledge and expertise.
At the British Library, each Chevening fellowship takes the form of a unique project-based placement that will support our staff to capitalise on the breadth and depth of our collections and expertise, enable new types of research, inform strategy and foster international collaboration. The fellowships are open to candidates from specific countries, selected each year to match the themes of the projects on offer.
Upon completion of their projects, our fellows join the highly regarded global network of Chevening alumni.
We have two new exciting fellowship opportunities for the period September 2019-September 2020:
- Fellowship 1: Research on digitised archival material from Latin America and the Caribbean
- Fellowship 2: Research on the British Library’s African-language printed books collections
The application deadline is 6 November 2018. For an overview of each Fellowship and details about eligibility and how to apply please visit the Chevening website.
