On 23 March 2018 the British Library Entrance Hall hosted an evening dedicated to musician, artist, activist, producer and thinker Brian Eno. While his recording projects and collaborations are endlessly known, his work as a visual artist covers an even longer span of time and his experiments with light and video have been exhibited all over the globe.
The special event showcased a talk from Brian and included music and visuals from some of his installations that have featured in galleries, airports, hotels and public spaces from St Petersburg to the Sydney Opera House. Tickets were extremely limited but for those not lucky enough to attend in person, the event was filmed and the highlights compiled into a two-part film.
On the eve of the release of the ‘Music For Installations’ 6CD, 9LP and 6CD Super Deluxe box sets, which contain the rare, and in many cases previously unreleased, soundtracks to these shows, you can see the global premiere of Part One of our event here. Part Two will follow next Thursday 10 May.
