Change in price to the CLA default Copyright fee

The Copyright Licensing Agency (CLA) default copyright fee will be rising from £17.50 to £20.00 on 1 January 2020.

The CLA apply a default copyright fee for licensed material that doesn’t have a publisher set fee.  The new default fee will be applied to copies from books and any other items in our catalogue that don’t have a copyright record.

The fee will change as follows:

From 1 January 2020 - default copyright fee will increase from £17.50 to £20.00

There will be a further increase to £22.50 from 1 January 2021.

The fee will automatically be applied when ordering items from the On Demand catalogue.
