Gosh it's @PLR_UK time again. Every year it takes me by surprise, both in timing and in amount of borrows people have made of my books. The money helps, but so does the affirmation - even (especially) when you’ve not had a book out for nearly (gulp) four years.

Thank you @PLR_UK , in your 40th anniversary year! And with so many UK public libraries closing & librarians losing their jobs, it's important to also thank the professionals & library users who campaign to keep public libraries open AND staffed !

The biggest shout out to the @PLR_UK folk, libraries, librarians and those who borrow books. You are all amazing. Authors and illustrators would struggle to survive without you. THANK YOU SO MUCH for all the hard work. And now, a curtain call for my most borrowed title:
Ross Montgomery @mossmontgomery Jan 22
This is your friendly neighbourhood author reminding you, once again, that @PLR_UK is the absolute best thing ever. For the love of god, authors, sign up for it - a list of how many people have taken out your book in libraries this year! And you get paid for it!!
Ruth Ware @ RuthWareWriter Jan 28
The best thing about @PLR_UK isn't the money (although paying authors for their work is GREAT, don't get me wrong). It's tangible evidence that thousands of people have borrowed your book from a public library. If one of those people was you, THANK YOU.
