Welcoming you back safely

Outside the King's Tower

We're back

Published date:

We’ve reopened for everyone. Our Reading Rooms and galleries are now open, and we’re so excited to see you.

From 19 July you can use our public desks and Members’ Room, and visit our Treasures Gallery and Khadija Saye: in this space we breathe (open until 7 October), without needing to pre-book a ticket.

And you can continue to book visits for our exhibition Paddington: The Story of a Bear (9 July – 31 October).

You will still need to pre-book a ticket for our Reading Rooms and Reader Registration for the moment so we can make sure everyone has enough space and feels safe while they’re here. In line with government guidance we’re intending to remove ticketing for our Reading Rooms by the end of August.

Find out more about how we’re welcoming you back safely, or if you’re not ready to return just yet we’re always open online

And whether you're returning to our Reading Rooms, exploring our galleries or researching remotely for a little longer, you can take a peek inside our gleaming tower of brass and glass – the King's Library, in our new curators on camera.
