Welcoming you back safely

Outside the King's Tower

We're back

Published date:

We’ve reopened for everyone. Our Reading Rooms and galleries are now open, and we’re so excited to see you.

You can use our public desks and Members’ Room, and visit our Treasures Gallery and Khadija Saye: in this space we breathe (open until 7 October), without needing to pre-book a ticket.

And you can continue to book visits for our exhibition Paddington: The Story of a Bear (open until 31 October).

From Monday 23 August you’ll no longer need to pre-book to visit our Reading Rooms.

Everyone needs a Reader Pass to visit the Reading Rooms, and you still need to pre-book an appointment to renew or get a new Reader Pass.

Find out more about how we’re welcoming you back safely, and if you’re not ready to return just yet we’re always open online

And whether you're returning to our Reading Rooms, exploring our galleries or researching remotely for a little longer, you can take a peek inside our gleaming tower of brass and glass – the King's Library, in our curators on camera.
