Where books do not have a publisher-set chapter fee, CLA will apply a default copyright fee of £27. This default fee will be applied to copies from books that don’t have a copyright record. The fee will automatically be applied when ordering items from the On Demand catalogue.
Historically we have applied the same default copyright fee for book chapters as for journal articles (currently £22.50) when supply is authorised by the CLA Document Delivery Licence held by the British Library.
