As part of our commitment to a better climate future, we are looking for an Environmentalist in Residence to take up a three-month residency at the British Library from March to May 2023.

We are looking for an innovative, forward-looking individual with a track record of creating climate related programmes, campaigns and projects. The ideal applicant will be an individual with a track record in one or more of the following areas - climate change data and evidence, biodiversity, human evolutionary impact, economic issues and solutions, energy, climate justice and global inequality, climate adaptation and resilience, climate health impacts, grassroots community involvement in climate action and development.

Applicants should be able to communicate science and evidence based information in the way that can inspire and engage audiences. They will also be able to lead events, workshops or sessions that will contribute to better understanding and knowledge of key issues. We are happy for applicants to adapt this brief and use their creativity to present us with their own vision of how they could engage with different audiences, Library staff and our collections.
