If you have a general enquiry about ordering from British Library On Demand, please contact our Customer Services team.

Our lines are open 08.30 – 17.30, Monday to Thursday and 08.30 – 17.30 on Fridays, except for public holidays. We respond to all email enquires within 10 working days. Customers who are deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired can use a text phone to contact Customer Services on +44 (0)1937 546434.

Business Development
To talk to our Business Development team about what British Library On Demand can
do for your organisation, from our Higher Education Scanning Service to just-in-time storage and supply solutions for commercial companies. Requests for information and requests for proposals should also be sent to this address.
Publisher Relations
Publishers with queries about British Library On Demand should contact our Licensing
and Publisher Relations team. They can also help you negotiate a direct licence with
On Demand, which gives you access to our broad customer base and detailed reports about how your content is being used.
Operating hours
British Library On Demand processes orders and requests from 08.00 Monday to 04.30 Saturday, except when closed for English public holidays (see below).
Orders may be placed 24 hours a day, seven days a week through our online ordering interface, API or via email requesting.
Public holiday closures
The British Library’s site in Boston Spa, Yorkshire will be closed along with all Document Supply Services during UK Public Holidays.
