Andrew is part of the Library’s Research Development Team whose work involves various activities to support and enable research collaborations through shared projects, workshops, events and other activities. His role connects colleagues and external partners to enhance the Library’s strategic offering, particularly within the humanities and social sciences, across its Contemporary British and Americas collections, and with the Eccles Centre. Andrew supports research collaborations with different stakeholder groups in these areas, from funders, to membership organisations, and individual researchers, both within and outside academia.

Andrew previously worked as the BSA Fellow for Sociology at the British Library on the Sociology in the Archives project and has a particular interest in the Library’s role as an archive, or memory institution, and the wealth of resources it holds for sociological research. His PhD considered the intersections between collecting, storing and disseminating the knowledge legacy of sports mega-events, with a particular focus on the impact of key actors and agencies in relation to London 2012.
