I am a librarian, and have worked in academic and research libraries with a focus on 20th and 21st-century history and social sciences.

My interests are in the role of publishing in contemporary communications, and the everyday experience and expression of politics.

In 2013, I co-curated the British Library exhibition Propaganda Power and Persuasion.

I am a lead educator for the British Library and University of Nottingham online course Propaganda and Ideology in Everyday Life.
