Julie is one of our exceptional team who are on hand to help you navigate the databases and resources we have at the
BIPC. She is also an ace at delivering workshops on intellectual property and protecting your business. She has Level 4 Business Advisor Training and Masterclass training with the IPO.
What’s the one BIPC resource you love to recommend to people?
The first thing I recommend to people on my workshop and to my one-to-ones is COBRA. This is the database that I think customers need to use to help them understand regulations, IP rights, insurance, cash flow - basically everything they need to know on how to start their business.
What is your favourite part of your role?
The one-to-one advice clinics are my favourite. It’s a great feeling to be a clear part of helping to organise a client’s business idea.
Favourite fact about the British Library?
That we have 625km shelves which are spread over 14 mammoth floors.
Most likely to be found at/in…
The BIPC of course! People tend to queue up early to get the same spots everyday so we’ve got to make sure we’re ready.
Tell us something about you
I love bowling. I was the British Library Bowling Champion in 1993. Since then they have never had another BL Bowling competition. I guess I intimidated them with my talent!
