Olivia Majumdar holds a BA in South Asian Studies from SOAS, University of London, as well as an English Literature MA by Research from the University of Birmingham and a Film Programming and Curating MA from Birkbeck, University of London. Currently she is an MPhil/PhD student in the English and Creative Writing department at the University of Exeter. Her research interests include British India, Anglophone-South Asian literary and culture exchange in the 19th century, and South Asian cinema.

She joined the British Library in 2019, working as a Project Cataloguer and Curator for the ‘Two Centuries of Indian Print’ project. Prior to this, she worked as an Editorial and Research Assistant at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School.
