Patrick Plant was appointed to the British Library Board on 15 May 2012.

Patrick  is a commercial property lawyer with 30 years’ experience and extensive commercial contacts in the UK and abroad.

Patrick has retired as an equity partner of the global law firm Linklaters having, for a number of years, acted as its Global Head of Real Estate where he was lead counsel on a number of major property projects. He remains as partner consultant with the firm, undertaking a number of roles including overseeing the firm’s global premises network. He is also a Trustee of The Royal Society for Blind Children and a Council Member of The Royal College of Art.

Patrick was appointed to the Board for his high level of expertise and experience in the area of property development and estates management. He chairs the Board’s Capital Projects Committee.
