What’s the one BIPC resource you love to recommend to people?

COBRA tends to be the first resource we would point a potential entrepreneur towards. It’s a great place to start. I’d also say business news journals are a great supplement to market research reports. Journals are updated more frequently which would fill in any gaps left by an annually updated report, and give an immediate indication of trends which could potentially affect that industry. As well as hard copy journals, there are also news article journal databases such as Business Source Complete which readers can access remotely.

Your best piece of business advice?

Favourite fact about the British Library?

The British Library serves as headquarters of a special division of the British Secret Service – at least according to a Japanese graphic novel and TV series called Read or Die. Of course, I can neither confirm nor deny that such a division actually exists…
