What does the Research Development Team do?
The British Library supports research of all kinds through our reading rooms and other on site and online services to researchers.
The Research Development Team is a small department that specifically facilitates collaborative research in two areas, as defined by the remit of major research funders:
- Postgraduate research through our doctoral programmes. Please note that we cannot accept speculative proposals from individuals seeking to undertake a doctorate or doctoral placement outside our advertised schemes.
- Collaborative research projects with partners working at postdoctoral or equivalent level.
