Featuring marble Jesmonite, brass, black leather and a gold plated chain, this stunning necklace draws on the bold architecture of the British Library entrance, with its travertine flooring and brass and leather handrails. Victoria Myatt from jewellery brand Promises Promises developed the collection by taking inspiration from the aesthetics of the building as well as the process involved in the construction of it. As Victoria explains, ‘I wanted to take elements that were instantly recognisable from the building to build the collection around, the layers of stairs and balconies in graceful curves, the leather wrapped hand rails, the graphic shapes of the clock and landscaping.’ The pendant sits on an 18” gold plated chain. Care instructions:Jesmonite: A hand dyed and cast composite stone – to clean, wipe with a damp cloth.Brass: Occasionally polish with a metal polish designed for brass to keep it nice and shiny.Leather: Keep dry and clean with a soft cloth if needed.
