Freedom: cyberbullying and its consequences
Cyberbullying is when digital technologies are used to humiliate, threaten, frighten, harass or abuse a person. The NSPCC states that one in five children have suffered from cyberbullying at some time. Some hurtful comments can be shrugged off, but sometimes the outcome of online bullying is much more serious. In this debate, students will discuss whether we should be allowed to post anything we want to say online, even when we know it could be seen as hurtful and abusive.
