Upper Ground Floor

If wide, open space filled with architectural appeal is what you’re looking for, the Upper Ground Floor has it all.

This is a hugely versatile space at the heart of the main Library building. You can create a lively ambience for networking or an energetic atmosphere for a concert here. Spanning the height of five floors, the high ceilings rise gradually to create a spacious setting your guests can acclimatise to as they enter the building.

Adjoining the Upper Ground Floor is the Treasures Gallery, home to national gems such as Magna Carta, Lindisfarne Gospels, works by Mozart and Florence Nightingale, Shakespeare’s first folio, plus original Beatles lyrics and Jane Austen’s writing desk. Tours can be arranged for you and your guests.
