John Woods: relations between disability and diving

I should mention, because it is important later on, that when I was at school I, in the war I learnt to swim in the sea, I think I mentioned that, and then I re-learnt to swim, when I was about ten I suppose, after polio, and so swimming was always very good. I mean there was not many sports that I could do, and the support of the water, swimming. And when I was in France in, when I was 15, '55 [1955], I first encountered scuba diving and of course I got hooked.
