Melissa Addey is a historical fiction author and publishing mentor, writing full-time with a focus on Ancient Rome, medieval Morocco and 18th-century China. A former Leverhulme Trust Writer in Residence at the British Library, Melissa holds a PhD in Creative Writing and runs workshops for authors looking to self-publish successfully. Her novels have been recognised by the Historical Novel Society and won the inaugural Novel London award. She is also an active campaigner with the Alliance of Independent Authors, promoting ethics and excellence in self-publishing.
