Artists Backhouse 1997 attributes this manuscript to the artist responsible for the Coronation Book of Charles V (Cotton Tiberius B VIII, ff. 35-80) executed in Paris in 1365.
Decoration 1 large historiated initial, accompanied by a full foliate border, in colours and gold (f. 1). 69 large and small miniatures, in colours and gold (ff. 2 (x2), 2v, 3, 5v (x2), 7, 7v, 8, 8v, 9, 9v (x2), 10, 10v, 11, 11v (x2), 12, 12v (x2), 13, 13v, 14 (x2), 14v, 15, 15v, 16, 16v, 17, 17v, 18, 18v, 19, 19v, 20, 20v (x2), 21, 21v, 22, 23, 23v, 24, 24v, 25, 25v, 26, 26v, 27v, 28, 28v, 29, 30v, 31v, 32, 33, 33v (x2), 34, 34v, 35, 35v, 36, 37, 38, 39, 39v). Initials (2 lines) and line-fillers in gold on red and blue grounds.
