Description
Children were the focus of much national interest during the war. In this postcard, by the Italian illustrator Attilio Mussino, two children are imitating a soldier and a Red Cross nurse, in the way children often imitate the actions of adults. Postcards such as this were a way to use children in the propaganda machine.
