Portolan chart attributed to Angelino Dulcert

Description

This mid-14th-century portolan chart is unsigned but may be by Angelino Dulcert. Certainly it is in the style associated with Catalan charts. Unlike Italian ones a few inland features are shown - prominent here, for instance, are the Atlas Mountains and the Alps, a few rivers including the Danube and the Guadalquivir, and a church marking Rome.
